Type-Moon Extravaganza or Where the hell do I begin?!

What is Type-Moon? First off, slap yourself for me real fast.
Here’s a short little introduction for the people who don’t know the greatness of Type-Moon. Type-Moon is an outstanding game development company, which mainly produces Visual Novels and also some light novels. Not well known at first, like all great companies out there today, they gained vast admiration due to their Visual Novels Tsukihime and Fate/ Stay Night, with both being adapted into anime and manga series. Type-Moon was established by Nasu Kinoko and Takeuchi Takashi and at first, Type-Moon was nothing but a minor dojin group, but that changed after they had huge success with the visual novel Tsukihime as well as steady success with its sequels. Type-Moon finally became a commercial company and celebrated a successful start with the visual novel Fate /Stay Night, which is today one of the most well-known and prevalent Visual Novel worldwide. Type-Moon envelops quite a nice array of franchises, but the “big three” are Tsukihime, Fate /Stay, and Kara no Kyoukai. These “big three” are all within the same Type-Moon expanded universe. That means as you go on with any given franchise, there is a high chance you might have seen something or someone from another. Or perhaps an action taken in one franchise might have dire consequences in another. So if you want to know the whole story, it’s time to dig deep.
In a series of posts, I will dissect each of the “big three” giving you all works within the franchise, starting points and whatnot, and just any other information that would be helpful for someone trying to get into the Type-Moon universe. This will be an ongoing Type-Moon monster marathon for me as I play every VN I can get my hands on, once again buy a PS2 to relive the greatness of the fighting game versions of the franchises, as well as watching and reading every anime and manga currently available. At the end, I will attempt to help bring everything together within this extended universe with a VERY spoiler heavy look into the inner workings behind everything. This is a big project for me but heck Type-Moon is only worth it.
