Review: School Days

I usually keep reviews of anime and manga to the podcast, but School Days was something very different for me and I felt like I couldn’t express what I really wanted to say about this show into words, so I’ve decided to create my first review for the blog. School Days started off as any typical romance would: Boy likes girl, boy gets with girl, with the help of boy’s friend (who is also a girl), and a relationship progresses. But School Days is not your typical romance. School Days is something completely different from what I was expecting and, for better or for worse, introduced me to a twist on a genre I have taken a great liking to for a long time now. So without further a due, let’s get right down into what makes School Days what it is.

Lately I haven’t been blogging or reviewing about anime for the past few weeks; Due to large amount of work and afraid I can’t make it to the future Podcasts. Yun-Lee is a girl who lost track of time due to a unforeseen accident that took two years of her life away. Before the accident Yun-Lee was only nineteen years old and considered not yet an adult in society standards till reaches the age of twenty, almost near graduation Yun-Lee was studying for University entry exams but due to a car accident on the way she was emotionally scarred and bed ridden for two years. Making her transition from nineteen to twenty one years old and back into society; She is now considered an adult already. She feels lost and isn’t ready for adult hood due to her missing time lapse of her teenage years.

Manga Review: Bamboo Blade

 Bamboo Blade is a 2004 seinen sports manga written by Masahiro Totsuka about kendo, a modern sport based off of samurai swordsmanship and kenjutsu. This manga keeps a good balance of comedy, drama, romance, and action along with a light-hearted and humorous plot and a great art style that is funny and powerful. This manga can also serve as great inspiration to young readers with the themes that it holds.
